18 of our High school students participated by fourth consecutive year in the United Nations Model of HARVARD University, «HARVARMUN 2017». This event took place in Boston, Massachusetts, United States.
The students and teachers, Mr. Guillermo Jorge and Ms. Miosotis Ramos, actively participated in HARVARMUN 2017, in the Sixty-fourth version of this international event. CIS represented the Czech Republic, is the only school with a delegation in HARVARMUN of Dominican Republic.
Each year, this event receives about 3000 students from different parts of the world, distributed in several working commissions.
The United Nations Model is a simulation of international relations, where participants discuss issues facing world leaders and make proposals to the social, political, and economic problems affecting different countries. This activity also develops team working skills, communication, leadership, and cross curricular and cultural understanding.
