The Dominican Society for Big Data and Data Science organized its annual data analysis competition for the fifth time. Over the past quarter, our 11th- and 12th-grade students demonstrated their exceptional analytical skills in the highly anticipated annual DATATHON competition.

This event challenges participants to harness the power of data, solve complex problems, and demonstrate their mastery of data analysis through multiple challenges.

Learning to analyze data is not only a key skill for today’s academic and professional world but also develops critical thinking, the ability to make evidence-based decisions, problem-solving skills, and the responsible interpretation of information. These competitions prepare our young people to face a world that is increasingly driven by technology and the intelligent analysis of information.

We are so proud to celebrate the incredible achievement of our students Shara Alexis, Jamilet Pacheco, Vincent Lantigua, and Kathy He Xu, who took first place in the competition’s inaugural challenge! Their dedication, creativity, and teamwork set them apart from the rest, and we couldn’t be prouder of the way they represented our institution.

Congratulations to these extraordinary students for turning data into a winning formula!
